J ennifer Schilling is our Resident Artist for ceramics and is the Technical Advisor for our Pottery Studio. She received her BFA from Alfred University. During her time at Alfred she concentrated on Ceramic Sculpture and received her teaching certification. Jennifer was lucky enough to have the opportunity to study under Wayne Higby, Andrea & John Gill, and Walter McConnell. After Alfred, Jennifer was awarded an assistantship at Peters Valley Craft Education Center. Layton, NJ. The assistantship allowed Jennifer to work closely with ceramic professionals who shared emerging techniques and trades of the craft. During this time, Jennifer had the opportunity to fire many atmospheric kilns and learn the daily tasks that an independent studio would require. During the following summers she continued her graduate studies under Regis Brodie at Skidmore College, Saratoga Springs, NY.

Jennifer currently works at Phillipsburg High School where she teaches Advanced Pottery, Ap Art Studio, Visual Arts and Drawing & Sketching. In the fifteen years working at the high school Jennifer has helped coordinate and run special programs, including The Lafayette Art Experience. This program is a unique opportunity for the serious minded high school art student to work alongside professional artists, sharing and collaborating on many projects throughout the school year. This program meets weekly at Lafayette College in Easton, PA under the instruction of Jim Toia, an Art professor at Lafayette College.

Jennifer continues to show nationally and has won many awards including:
