COMICS/MANGA DRAWING: Paneling for Comics
Learn how to make various kinds of sequential art, including funny pages-style short comics and long-form manga and graphic novels. Students will learn how to decide what to draw in each panel, how to pace their characters' dialogue, and much more!
All levels of experience welcome! Ages 8 and up

COMICS/MANGA DRAWING: Japanese Writing
This class is both an art and language class rolled into one! In this class, students will learn to read and write hiragana (one of the native alphabets of Japan) as well as some kanji (characters borrowed from China). Emphasis will be placed on learning things such as stroke order and stylistic variation, so that students learn not only to write each letter correctly but also beautifully.

COMICS/MANGA DRAWING: Figure Drawing
In this class, students will learn how to think of the human body in three dimensions and in terms of bones, muscles, and joints. Students will be encouraged to draw the body in their own style, whether that be photorealism, semi-realism, cartoon, or manga, with an emphasis on learning about how the body "works," about foreshortening, and about how to deal with tricky poses.
